Mark Robins, CEO and Co-Founder

Mark is the Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Grouply.  He brings over 15 years of software and management experience to the company.  Prior to Grouply, Mark held executive positions in engineering and product marketing at Siebel Systems.  Prior to Siebel, Mark was a payload manager at Hughes Electronics Company (now Boeing) where he designed communications satellites used by DIRECTV, Japan Broadcasting Corporation, and Norwegian Telecom.  Mark received his Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from Cornell, his Masters in Electrical Engineering from Caltech, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Mark runs social groups for his children’s elementary school, the local cub scout troop, and former employees of Siebel Systems.  Mark belongs to dozens of other groups including a Cornell alumni group, a networking group for entrepreneurs, and a support group for people who run groups!

Rich Reimer, COO and Co-Founder

Rich is the Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of Grouply.  Rich has over 15 years of sales, marketing, and management experience in high-tech companies.  Prior to Grouply, Rich held executive positions at Siebel Systems, Blue Martini Software, and Oracle Corporation.  Prior to Siebel, Rich held sales and marketing positions at General Electric and Bell Atlantic.  Rich received his Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan, his Masters in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University, and an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar.

Rich belongs to many groups including an archery group, a model railroading group, and a group about Harry Potter.

Alan Shang, VP Engineering and Co-Founder

Alan is the Vice President of Engineering and co-founder of Grouply. He has over 12 years of software and management experiences in high-tech companies. Prior to Grouply, Alan held engineering positions at Siebel Systems. Prior to Siebel, Alan was the first developer at RivalWatch and implemented the price monitoring solution for retailers. Prior to RivalWatch, Alan was an internet expert at Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economy of China. Alan received his Bachelors degree in Information and Control Engineering from Xi’an Jiatong University, his Masters in Electrical Engineering from Tsinghua University, and Masters in Computer Science and Engineering from University of Michigan.

Alan is a member of many groups such as his neighborhood homeowners association, his Tsinghua alumni association, and a group for Meade telescope enthusiasts.
