Here's a good place to point people: http://blog.grouply.com/protect . Yes, it is true that we require your Yahoo ID and password to use Grouply. This is so we can collect your group messages and verify your group memberships. We don't use it for anything else. And there are actually lots and lots of companies that collect Yahoo IDs and passwords to provide you a value-added service, including Meebo and your wireless carrier to enable your Blackberry.
