Grouply / Oodle FAQ
As we announced here, Grouply is now part of Oodle. Here are answers to some commonly asked questions.
How does Grouply help Oodle?
Oodle is focused on building a social marketplace – where who you are buying from (or selling to) is as important as what is being sold. Oodle enables trade among friends, friends-of-friends and other members of your local community, and soon Oodle will facilitate trading within affinity groups. With over 500,000 active groups, Grouply is a leading platform for affinity groups and is a natural partner for Oodle. Grouply and Oodle will work together to make trading within affinity groups even more compelling.
How will the acquisition affect existing Grouply Groups and users? Can we continue to create new groups?
There will be no changes. Existing Grouply social groups will continue to operate and be supported as before, and you are welcome and encouraged to create new Grouply social groups at www.grouply.com/create.
What if I am not interested in my group having social commerce functionality? Will I be able to block Oodle features?
As always, Grouply group administrators can control the applications that are available to group members.
Will Grouply retain a separate identity or be folded into Oodle and rebranded?
There are no plans to change the Grouply branding at this time.
I am a Grouply user and want to find out more about Oodle Marketplace. Where is a good place to start?
You can find out ore about Oodle Marketplace at www.facebook.com/marketplace. Group functionality is not yet supported, however.
