So what’s this contest all about?
As you know, your Grouply experience gets better as more of your fellow group members use Grouply. In the spirit of the holiday season, we are offering a special additional incentive for you to invite others to Grouply. We’re holding a “referral contest”, and the winners get an iPod Touch and a Nintendo Wii, two of this year’s most popular gifts! The more people you tell about Grouply by December 18, 2007, the more chances you have to win!
How do I invite people to Grouply and get credit for the referral?
The easiest way to invite people is from within Grouply itself. Login to Grouply and click the Invite to Grouply link in the upper right of any page. There you have the option to invite one or more of your groups all at the same time — so you can spread the word fast and maximize your chance of winning! You can also invite people individually by entering their email addresses.
If you like, you can invite people by sending them an email directly from your own email account. However, you must include the proper link in your email since we use this link to give you credit for the referral. You can extract your personal referral link (PRL) from the default “invite to Grouply” text. Go to Invite to Grouply, and in section 2, click “edit invitation text”. Your PRL appears in blue in the format of http://www.grouply.com/register.php?r=xxxx . Copy this link and paste it into any Grouply invitation emails you send. You will receive one entry in the drawing for each person who signs up for Grouply after clicking your PRL.
How does the drawing work? Who gets what?
You get one entry in the drawing for each person you invite to Grouply who signs up by December 18, 2007. In addition, each person who signs up by December 18, 2007 gets one entry for herself and each person she subsequently refers. So if you refer Sue and 499 other new users to Grouply, you get 500 entries into the drawing and Sue gets one. If Sue goes on to refer 99 more new users, she gets a total of 100 entries.
The contest ends at 11:59pm PST on December 18, 2007. Shortly after, we will randomly select two winners, one for each prize, from all the entries. Anyone with at least one entry can win, though obviously the more entries you have, the better your chances!
Once the winners have responded by e-mail with their shipping addresses, Grouply will overnight the prizes so that they can be received on or before December 25, 2007.
I want to win bad! How can I see how well I’m doing?
Gosh, we admire your enthusiasm! To support your efforts, we will provide you with real-time feedback on your progress. Anytime you’re in Grouply, click the My Grouply tab to get to your home page. Look for the green “Invite Others to Grouply” box on the left-hand side. In it you’ll see how many contest entries you’ve earned so far. And remember, the more entries you earn, the greater your chance of winning!
