Company

Grouply has been around since March 2006. The free Grouply service has been in use by real users since October 2006. In September 2007, Grouply launched at the TechCrunch 40 event, and ever since Grouply has been generally available as a “public beta”.
The Grouply team has excellent engineering and business backgrounds along with a proven track record of developing and delivering software products at companies like Oracle and Siebel Systems. The co-founders started the company out of their own personal frustration with participating in and running numerous large online groups.
Grouply has been embraced by leading group owners, including moderators from EmailList-Managers, Group Managers Forum, ListHelp, and Yahoo Group of Groups — the four most highly regarded “groups about Yahoo Groups” in existence. In February 2008, these moderators formed a new and independent Yahoo Group called GrouplyImprovements where group owners work with Grouply management to address concerns and develop new Grouply features.
Grouply’s top-tier investors include Reid Hoffman, founder of LinkedIn; SoftTechVC, managed by Jeff Clavier; Harvard Angels; and Western Technology Investment.
Grouply has been featured in popular media and blogs, including several articles in TechCrunch, the foremost website dedicated to reviewing promising technology startups.
Grouply has offices in Redwood City, CA.
